Open Position: Truck Driver (NON-CDL)

Description: Seeking NON-CDL drivers for delivery of milk and dairy products to stores, schools, hospitals, etc. This job will require you to delivery dairy products to pre-established destinations using a box truck. The areas Cream-O-Land serves are NJ, NY, and CT. All routes begin and end from the same hub location. Cream-O-Land has been in business for over 70 years. We are a third-generation family operation that is growing and looking for good drivers to work with.
Job Requirements:
  License must be in good standing
  No major violations on license
  No major accidents, injuries, fatalities
  Able to work Saturdays
  Able to operate a hand truck
  Able to lift 35-60lbs in cases of product
  At least 21 years of age
  Good attendance and good work ethic is required
  One year of delivery driver experience (box truck or similar) within past 3 years is a plus

Open Position: Truck Driver

Description: Seeking truck drivers to work out of Cream-O-Land's Jersey City and Florence depot. As a COL driver, you will be delivering milk and dairy products to various locations that include stores, supermarkets, schools, hospitals, and other customers. You will be responsible for making deliveries to all pre-determined customers on your assigned route, within our service area of NJ, NY, and CT. Cream-O-Land Dairy has been in business for over 70 years. We are a third generation family operation that is growing and looking for good drivers to work with us. Job Requirements:
  CDL Class A (OR) Class B License (in good standing)
  No major driving violations

  Able to lift cases of product weighing up to approximately 35-60lbs each

  Proper work attendance and work ethic is required

Open Position: Yard Jockey
Job Hours: Second Shift: 02:00pm-11:00pm   SUN-FRI
Location: 3 East Linden Avenue  Jersey City, NJ 07305
Description: The jard jockey is responsible for moving tractors, trailers and straight trucks around the premises so that our trucks may be positioned properly to be filled with finished goods. Essential job duties include: dropping trailer combinations in loading bays for product scheduled for delivery, performing necessary safety requirements such as chocking wheels and placing braces under the front of trailers, coordinating loading schedules with warehouse supervisors, starting refrigeration units and checking these units periodically, and pulling loaded trailers away from dock after securing trailer doors. You should be able to drive and operate vehicles under 15mph on and around the premisis, and be responsible for performing these tasks and similar related tasks assigned by the department leader.
Job Requirements:
  CDL Class A License (clean and in good standing)
  Must have previous straight truck and trailing moving experience
  Yard jockey experience is preferred
  Be able to work under minimal supervision
  Able to stand, reach, stoop, kneel or crouch for an extended period of time
  Required to work outside in all seasonal weather conditions
  Be able to pass pre-employment testing for insurance company and DOT
  Must be willing to work the demands of the department; subject to weekends and holidays

Open Position: Call Center Assistant Manager
Job Hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm   Monday-Friday

Description: Cream O Land's Call Center Assistant Manager position has the primary responsibility for supervising daily operations and personnel aiming for maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness while also ensuring that technology is utilized to a maximum and that staff are well organized, productive and able to adhere to strict time guidelines. An excellent call center assistant manager must be an extremely organized, reliable and results-driven professional. They must have a practical mind to solve problems on the spot partnered with an ability to see the "big picture" and make improvements. As a call center assistant manager, they must also have excellent customer service and communication skills. The goal is to do everything possible to attain goals and achieve great results for our company.
Job Requirements:
  Assist in conducting effective daily planning to maximize productivity of resources (time, people, technology, etc)
  Prioritize time sensitive workload to maintain flow of orders and appropriate levels of inventory across departments
  Assist in reviewing the performance of staff to identify needs; then coach and provide training to personnel to maintain high customer service standards
  Answering questions from staff and providing guidance and feedback
  Build and maintain a positive work environment that attracts and retains high quality staff
  Assume the leadership role in the absence of the order entry manager assuring all team members are productive and maintain a professional workplace
  Prepare reports for different departments or upper management
  Assist in maintaining and improving call center operations by monitoring employee performance, then report to next level manager
  Assist in identifying employee and processing issues, then report to next level manager for timely resolution
Job Qualifications:
  Proven experience as a fast-paced call center manager or similar position
  Knowledge of customer service metrics
  Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and call center equipment/software
  Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  Excellent time management, organizational and leadership skills with a problem-solving mentality
  Positive attitude and patient
  High school diploma or equivalent; Higher degree in a relevant discipline will be appreciated

Open Position: Human Resources Recruiter
Job Hours: 9:00am – 5:00pm   Monday-Friday

Description: Cream O Land's recruiter position is a creative recruiting process that involves using both traditional and non-traditional resources and a network of established contacts to identify and attract talent in the distribution and logistics industry. Resources often include community networking events, job fairs, online sources, career fairs, and advertising/marketing programs. Recruiting will also involve off-site efforts in finding candidates who are currently employed in our industry and convincing them to change employers.
Job Requirements:
  Partnering with HR managers to determine staffing needs for drivers, warehouse as well as other areas as needed
  On and off-site recruiting
  Screening applicants
  Performing in-person and phone interviews with candidates
  Making recommendations to Cream O Land HR managers
  Coordinating interviews and driver safety interviews with the HR managers and Safety Manager
  Following up on the interview process status
  Maintaining relationships with both internal and external clients and resources to ensure staffing goals are achieved
  Staying current on Cream O Land structure, personnel policy, and federal and state laws and DOT regulations regarding employment practices
  Serving as a direct contact with area employment agencies, colleges, driving schools and industry associations
  Completing timely reports on employment activity and communicating results to HR and Operations team
  Conducting exit interviews employees
  Assist with onboarding processes on first day
  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  Demonstrable experience in logistics industry recruiting (preferred)
  Familiarity with online job posting websites
  Ability to travel locally when necessary
  Working knowledge of the distribution/logistics industry
  Bilingual in Spanish/English (required)
  College degree or equivalent work experience
Key Responsibilities:
  Finding candidates: Creative recruiting process that involves using both traditional and non-traditional resources and a network of established contacts to identify and attract talent.   Candidate Screening: Recruiters are responsible for screening resumes to determine which candidates meet the minimum requirements. Recruiters then move chosen candidates on to the next step in the Cream O Land hiring process.
  Interviewing: Recruiters are responsible for conducting initial interviews, which are then used to narrow the number of potential candidates who will be interviewed by the hiring manager, ideally same or next day.

Open Position: Human Resources Generalist

Description: We are looking for a candidate who is assertive and a self-starter who will work with our HR department. The human resource generalist performs duties at the professional level in some or all of the following functional areas: employee relations, training, employment, affirmative action, employment equity program, benefits management, and payroll functions. This candidate must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Job Requirements:
  Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems
  Maintains all employee and applicant documentation as dictated by governing agencies
  Performs benefits administration including claims resolution and communicating benefits information to employees. Monitors employee eligibility for benefits plans. Reviews benefits with employees and processes enrollment, cancellation or changes. Organizes and manages annual open enrollment communications and election process
  Assists with recruitment tasks as needed (reviews applications, interviews)
  Provide support to employees in various HR related topics such as leaves, compensation etc. and resolve issues and problems
  Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database
  Maintains employee personnel files
  Ensures compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification; periodically audits Forms I-9
  Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations
  Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data
  Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars
  Conducts new-hire orientation
  Completes special projects as required

Job Qualifications:
  High school diploma or equivalent; Higher degree in a relevant discipline will be appreciated
  2-3 years of experience in human resources

  Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
